Boulito: the official trailer, and everything it shows about the game

20 waves. Just one robot. A minute to understand Boulito, our arena survival game available on PC for €4.99. Here's the trailer, then what's behind each shot.

Boulito trailer: 20 waves, 1 robot

Everything you see in this trailer comes from real parts, recorded in 1080p at 60 frames per second: a part of Boulito pushed up to wave 23 of endless mode, and another stopped dead at wave 15. No shot is faked or retouched. If the screen is overflowing with machines, it’s really overflowing.

“The factory lost its mind”: the starting point

The first calm shot of the trailer is the game menu. The pitch is in two lines: the factory has lost its mind, and your contract requires you to survive. Before each game, you go through theNight shift : you choose an employee, their equipment and the difficulty. The workshop has twenty employees to recruit, each with their own stats and starting weapon, and six difficulty levels ranging from the most accessible to the most demanding.

The first calm waves… apparently

The trailer deliberately shows the first waves almost empty. This is how Boulito starts: a few machines, space to move, time to understand his weapon. This calm does not last. Each wave adds pressure, and around wave 20 the arena fills up to the point where there is only one exit corridor left.

Hammers, lightning bolts… and six weapons to combine

Two styles return to the plans. The Press hammer strikes in close combat, with a heavy shock in a short area: the large white arcs you see sweeping across the screen. The Tesla Coil launches a lightning bolt that bounces from one target to another: these are the electric chains that cross the arena at the end of the game. Your robot carries up to six weapons at once, and it’s their combination that makes the difference.

The Union Break: merge to gain strength

Between two waves, the Union break acts as a store. You spend your Voltins there to buy weapons and items, lock in an interesting offer or restart the choice. The key rule: two identical weapons of the same rank merge, up to Tier V. A Tier I Tesla Coil has nothing to do with the same weapon at Tier IV, and the end of the trailer makes that clear.

During the game, mutations are also added: three bonuses offered, only one to choose from, valid until the end of the game. Electric damage, armor, speed, regeneration… these choices guide your build as much as the weapons.

Twenty waves, then endless mode

Survive the Twentieth Wave displays the screen “Contract honored”. Your victory is acquired, but the game offers you to extend your service: by endless mode, the waves continue and the bosses return. The game shown in the trailer stopped at wave 23, with over 18,000 machines dismantled. At the end of the game, the cores won unlock new employees and the pigments new appearances: each run advances the next.
